Veterans Honor Roll — How It Works

Overview

Review and moderate the veteran service profiles that show on the public /veterans honor roll page. Every profile is tied to an existing classmate record.

Table

One row per profile — name, branch, rank, service years, conflict era/awards, service note, submission date, and a Visible toggle. Click the Yes/No button in the Visible column to flip a profile on or off the public page immediately, without opening the edit form.

Add Profile

Search for the classmate by name first — profiles must attach to an existing classmate record, not a freeform name. Then fill in branch, rank, service years, conflict era, awards, and an optional service note. Rank options change based on which branch you pick (each branch has its own enlisted/warrant/officer rank list); choosing "Other" as the branch switches to a free-text rank field.

Edit Profile & Photo Handling

Same fields as Add, plus photo controls. If the classmate has more than one photo available (yearbook B&W, colorized portrait, uploaded uniform photo), a photo switcher appears — click one to make it the photo shown for this veteran in the class directory. The uniform/service photo itself can be uploaded or replaced here, and rotated 90° at a time if it came in sideways.

View Public Page

Opens /veterans in a new tab so you can see exactly what classmates see, including anything currently hidden from view.
