Gmail — How It Works

Overview

Read and reply to your connected Gmail account, run structured outreach to specific stragglers, and track/fix bounced emails — three modes under one page: Inbox, Outreach, and Bad Emails.

Inbox

Search and filter your Gmail threads (All / Unread / Reunion-subject), open a conversation, and reply inline without leaving the admin.

Outreach — how it differs from admin-broadcast

/admin-broadcast is for one-off announcements to all classmates or a filtered group. This Outreach tab is a narrower, repeatable tool for chasing down two specific audiences over multiple sessions:

Non-Responders
Received broadcasts but never checked in.
Unconfirmed Emails
Has an email on file that's never been confirmed.

Sends go out in small batches (default 15, adjustable) rather than all at once — Preview shows exactly who's in the next batch before you send, and History shows what's already gone out. Send to can be switched from Batch to a single named classmate. Reset batch clears outreach history so the same classmates become eligible again (useful if a batch needs redoing).

Bad Emails

The record of every bounced send, newest first by default. Show corrected toggles whether already-fixed bounces stay in the list. Mine filters to classmates assigned to you (see /admin-committee assignments). Reset clears the sort/filter controls back to defaults — it doesn't touch any data.

The Fixed column is a manual checkbox for marking a bounce corrected — except rows that auto-resolved (tagged "Checked in ✓", "Survey submitted ✓", or "Email confirmed ✓"), which needed no manual action because the classmate's own activity proved the address now works.

Classmates with bad email still set (bottom section) is a separate report — classmates whose primary email field still literally contains a known-bounced address. Clear it so future outreach and broadcasts skip them automatically.
